A Shower of Sweetness.

"Keep Calm and Be a Princess"

Hello and happy Monday!  Let me begin by saying that, "Whoa Momma!", I am exhausted.  All this extra weight is finally catching up to me, for real.  Four more weeks!  Four more weeks!  Maybe I should stop eating those cookie chips; there is no need for any more extra weight.  Now to the important stuff:  Baby O's Baby Shower!

On May 17th Baby O was showered with lots of love, lots of sweets, and lots of gifts.  The best trio I can think of, wouldn't you agree?  My shower was truly suited for a princess.  I could not have dreamed of a more perfect day.  The sun was shining and there was not a cloud in the sky.  I celebrated the the expected arrival of Baby O amongst friends and loved ones.

The adorable cupcakes and delicious chocolate chip cookies were from Shea's Bakery in Delray Beach, Fl.  If there is one thing I am yet to get sick of during this pregnancy, well, it is chocolate chip cookies.  If allowed I'd probably eat 15 cookies a day.  No.  Joke.  Okay, okay, maybe I could eat 20.  The delicious lunch was provided by Stallone's in Boca Raton, Fl.  You should most definitely check them out!

The shower favors were Bath and Body Works' hand sanitizers, wrapped in gold tulle, tied with a crochet flower made especially for me by my momma.  I'm telling you, she is awesome.  It is hard for me to sit back and allow others to do things for me, however, I am glad I did.  This day will forever be cherished.  A day spent loving on the growing baby girl inside my belly?  Well, I'd do it a million times over.

Baby O, we are all so very excited to meet you!

Cinco (Five) on Friday!

Hello, Friday!

At this stage of my pregnancy even sitting down in my chair at work is uncomfortable.  I'd rather be up and walking around than sitting over an extended period of time.  Can't I just have an endless number of weekends till baby O comes?  Ahh, I can dream, can't I?

Well, today I am linking up with Carolina Charm for "5 on Friday".  Ready, set, go!

-One-
On May 17th I was blessed with the most perfect baby shower in the milky way galaxy.  Everything was perfect.  I catch myself looking through the pictures and thinking, "Baby O is so very loved".  Don't worry, I'll post more pictures later.

-Two-
Have I mentioned how much I love my momma?  I can't pinpoint exactly what it is, impending motherhood?  Yet, I want my mom all-the-time.  Seriously, I can't get enough of spending time with her.  She has been such an incredible help and I could not be more grateful.  Momma, I love you!

-Three-
I am absolutely head over heels in love with the "sneak peek" of our maternity shoot. Our photographer was beyond amazing. I cannot wait to see the rest!

-Four-
My momma is the bomb. She has made Baby O the most adorable crochet headbands. I mean, it doesn't get any better than that. She is incredibly talented and I've encouraged her to spread the love. So, if you like them, let me know. Momma Rosi's Crochets coming to a city near you =)

-Five-
If I am being completely honest, I haven't had a single craving this entire pregnancy. What has happened is I am more prone to consume certain things in a higher volume one week, and then not care too much for it the next. This week's love? Chocolate chip muffins. It is ridiculous the way I inhaled my muffin yesterday. Normally, I'd be embarassed.  However, nothing about pregnancy hunger is normal. Even Ziggy was astonished. Though he did enjoy the crumbs that fell from my shirt.

Now, go out and have a Happy Friday!

33 more days!

In a little over four weeks I am going to be a momma.  Well, that is if little Baby O decides to come on her due date.  She may come early or she may decide to take her sweet, sweet time.  Honestly, I cannot wait to see her little face.  I catch myself daydreaming about if she will look like me, or will she look like Felipe.  Will she have my eyes and his lips?  Will her hair be straight and light, or straight and dark?  I could go on, and on, and on.

My little love, 247 days down, 33 days to go.  My heart feels as though it may be ready to burst.

She's a married woman!

"Happiness is only real when shared"

Let us pause and take in how incredibly gorgeous my friend looks as a bride.  I mean, come on now, she is gorgeous.  You can't beat those candid photographs, my friends.  On April 26, 2014 my darling friend married the love of her life.  The day was gorgeous, the ceremony was sweet, and the reception was filled with happiness.  Honestly, the day could not have gone more perfectly.  Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Chioffe!  May this new journey be filled with more love than either of you could ever imagine.  I am so happy to be a part of the ride.

Teressa and her bridesmaids.  I may be biased, but, we are one good looking bunch ;)

At first I was quite nervous about being the "pregnant" bridesmaid.  However, the maternity style bridesmaid dress really accentuated the bump just right.  Don't you think?

One of my all time favorite photographs.  Auntie Teressa loves the baby.

This is X.

But on and on from the moment I wake
To the moment I sleep
I'll be there by your side
Just you try and stop me

On April 20, 2014 we celebrated ten years of being together.  Sure, we've been married for almost five years, yet, I could never let go of April 20, 2004.  Ten years ago a young boy asked a young girl a very simple question, "Will you be my girl?"  It wasn't the first time he asked, but, it was most certainly the last.  I'll be your girl forever, love.

It hasn't all been perfect.  Yet, I cannot imagine any moment without him in it.  Ten years ago I gave away my heart.  And, in a short ten weeks we will be welcoming the fruit of our love into this world, a little bebe.   I can hardly wait.  Here is to ten more years, 20 more years, 30 more years, 40 more years, 50 more years, 60 more years; here is to the rest of my days with the love of my life.  Forever does not seem quite long enough.

Keeping Calm.

I am not a naturally calm person by nature.  Sure, I can go with the flow under certain circumstances, yet, when it comes to MY circumstances I am usually not as serene.  Being pregnant has taught me quite the lesson in patience.  A lesson that I never expected to learn.  Ultimately, I have control over very little.  Actually, the reality is that I have control over almost nothing.

Every morning I wake up and the very first thing that comes to my mind is my enormous to-do-list; the ever-increasing to-do-list.  Will it ever end?  Probably not.  Three things get crossed off and five more get added.  It is quite the cycle I have going.  Between weddings, maternity photos, my baby shower, completing the nursery, choosing a pediatrician,  multiple June birthdays, and prepping for my maternity leave I feel I do not have a moment to breathe.

So, yesterday, after a day-care-tour, prepping for a dress alteration, a hospital registration, and one of the longest trips to the mall with my sweet husband I decided to give myself and the bump a break.  I took off my bra (I hate wearing a bra these days), plopped my bump on the couch, elevated my feet and called it a day.  I didn't move from my cozy spot until about 9:30 PM when I realized I wasn't hungry, I was starving.  Which of course led me to having dinner at 10 o'clock (Probably, not the best idea for someone who has gained 26 pounds as of last Thursday).  Eh, what can ya do?  Just keep calm.

This is the most content I have ever been and nothing will interfere with that.  Darn, I've thought of two more things to add to my to-do-list.  Do you know what I am going to do about them right-this-second?  Not a darn thing.

Have the happiest of Saturdays.

She Lives!

the best
is yet
to come

Well, hello there, lovers.  As you can see I've been a tad bit busy these last few months.  Ya know, just making a human, no biggie.  Boy, oh boy, have I missed this little space.  This corner of the vast cyber world where I can say and do as I please.  I've missed the sound of hitting the keyboards and watching as my words appear across the screen.

Okay, okay, enough with the sappy stuff.  The important thing?  I am back, baby.  There is a ton to catch up on, however, not today.  Today, well, today is just a hello I have returned.  Happy Friday!
